W
e were at the HJ Show in Burbank this weekend. This is the place where they held the Equine Events for the Olympics when they were in Los Angeles.
One of the girls had painted her face like we do at the Halloween Barrel Bashes. I am sure her Mother was upset with her as these are society folks. But she was a honey. My Photo is not very good. Also see the $1200.00 puppie she just bought! Wow!
Also, here is a photo of a super Andulusian and he stands 19 hands and goes to stud this year. The Andalusian is one of the oldest breeds of horses in the world today. It is also known as the Purebred Spanish Horse or PRE (Pura Raza Española). He has a super nice owner and trainer.
The next is a photo of a cali car. These are legal street machines in California but the HJ people use them like we would have a golf cart. Would you like to be cruising down I-405 at 80 mph in this thing? I think not.
Here is one of the Youth class jumpers. They have classes starting with 4 year olds riding some of the most beautiful ponys I have ever seen all the way up to the professionals. The only time you will see me on a horse jumping a fence is when the meanest barrel racer in the world is chasing us. My huge wreck when I was 12 was with a Pinto Pony, a barb wire fence and 265 stitches later. Ouch!
More later.
